EDIT: Probably solved: Not an issue of Jerboa but Blokada interfering with the internet connection checks.
I thought I would ask here if someone else experiences this strange behaviour.
So I have updated my app to the latest version which is available on f-droid (which is 0.0.42 - I think there is already a 0.0.44 on github?). Since then I have the problem that I can neither vote, comment or post in the app. Trying to do so results in the above error message. If I try to open my profile, I get the message that I don't have internet connection which I clearly have. I mean the content is loading. It would be weird if they do without Internet. :) Next to my user name there is this warning triangle but I don't know what that means
If I go back to 0.0.41 everything works fine. No error messages and no triangle. I will add some screenshots for clarification.
Alright thats strange, in that version I added checks ("account verification checks") to ensure your account and device is in a proper state else it will give info to mitigate the problem. (To prevent external events, like when all the instances revoked the JWT when the hack happened and causing it to stop working for all the users) Here it fails on the first step. The first step checks if there any network capability. But from your screenshot I can clearly see you have wifi/mobile capability.
Could you give me some more information about your device/android version. In that version it now also requires the
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEpermission for that check. Maybe you revoked it somehow?The account is not ready yet msg is just that it hasnt cleared the checks yet. Maybe a better phrasing is in order but i am not sure what that is.
I tweaked it a bit, might resolve when ever 0.0.45 comes out
Thank you for your response! My phone uses Android 8 (saidly the manufacturer doesn't provide the software upgrade...) and at least I did not actively revoke any permissions (as I don't know how :D)
However, your explanation what's actually happening gave me an idea what the problem might be and I found it: I am using Blokada and apparently this interferes with the check. Deactivating Blokada solves the problem and reactivating it will cause the same issues again. Then I also noticed that my Blokada version is way to old and it didn't received any updates because apparently it was removed from fdroid and there was a lot of fuzz about it which I need to catch up with.
So I guess it's not a jerboa issue. Still, thank you for your help! I really appreciated it.
