Yeah, eggs are usually more varied in colour depending on nutrition (and happiness), so some companies spray paint them for uniformity before sending them out. The tan colour is usually chosen because it seems richer in quality (aka cooked).
Egg shell color is dependent on the breed, egg yolk color is dependent on nutrition.
