I’ve been asked twice earlier today why we didn’t do a remake, and I said, ‘are you somehow under the impression that because we do a remaster that we won’t be able to do a remake in the future?’ That might be something that I can either confirm or deny. I really don't see a reason to complain. A lot of comments ask "Why is it just a remaster and not a remake like the first System Shock?"

SS1 first got a remaster, and later a full remake. Both were great. I have no objection for NightDive to take the same approach with SS2.

Also I think people forget the development hell that the remake was.
