Probably not IMEI as 3rd party android applications haven't been able to see that since android 10 (there are other persistent identifiers such as widevine DRM ID)
You probably realise but even if they could, you could get around this by simply using the web browser to access Reddit

There's more to device recognition than IMEI, and I was using the proper app out of convenience

Step 0 is using a different IP not tied to your previous activity
Making anonymous reddit accounts is not hard, although you're better off here anyway
