What an exciting season
I've been watching F1 since 1995-ish and there have always been less exciting seasons. But there is a lot of things going on if you look past Verstappen's dominance.
Why do we need to talk up the seasson? Its boring, we all know that. It will get better, but acting like its totally exciting doesnt make it better imo
The fight for the second best team is really tight, there's 24 points between Mercedes in second and Ferrari in 4th in the WCC
I disagree, I think it's very exciting if you look past Redbull. The competition between Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin has been great so far. Even McLaren may be added to that list if their upgrades perform at other tracks.
Even within Redbull, Iβd say tracking Perez and his fight for second is its own point of interest. Max is absolutely killing it yet Perez is now four outings in a row where he failed to make Q3 and is currently far from guaranteed to take second in the competition at the end of the year. Iβd like for Perez and Alonso to stay within reach of one another.
I disagree. So that knocks the "we all know that" nonsense.
If you look behind Max you will see a ton of really interesting things happening. Or not, if you have no eye for that. Then yes, for you it is boring.
watch a spec series if you only care about p1
While itβs hard to ignore the boring front especially with how often broadcasts focus on it, look towards the mid pack! Iβve been having a good time seeing all these upgrades for every team and their cars being suited to different tracks shuffle them around. Aston started up front, then Mercedes looked up, then Alpine seemed to have some good runs, now Ferrari and Mclaren!
This season is actually a lot more exciting than a lot of other recent ones have been.
I get why people say this, but it's a terrible copout. If P1 is not truly up for grabs, the series has failed an absolutely crucial marker.
