Literally every little bit of effective action will impact the future temperature by some fraction of a degree.

It is functionally inevitable that climate change will cause catastrophic changes to the world we live in during this century. But, I would say that it's highly likely that there will still be some people, living within the catastrophe, in some sort of place.

However bad or not-as-bad-as-we-thought it winds up to be, every little fraction will make a little positive impact on the world they're living in.
