The internet archive is an untapped treasure trove of movies and shows. It requires some digging, but it's worth it. I've found a couple of shows I like and movies. Some of them are in poor quality, ripped from staticky VHS tapes or pirated from the movie theatre on someone's camera. But there's a shocking number that are uploaded in high quality, pristine format. I will list a few I've discovered. I haven't looked extensively but I assume there are probably some good documentaries in the Internet Archive as well. So far though I've just been focused on shows and movies.
The Matrix (1999) Disney's Gargoyles (1994-97) Rosemary's Baby (1968) The Impossible (2012) Rear Window (1954) The Last Unicorn (1982) Moomin Season 1 (1990) True Romance (1993) The Thing (1982) Quatre Adventures de Reinette et Mirabelle (1987)
I've also found the entire storyboard compilation for Studio Ghibli's The Wind Rises, and the Welcome to Nightvale Podcast uploaded, not sure how many seasons but I was very happy to find that. Love WTNV.
