It was shit and horrible then too. I used it in the past when I was a stupid kid, before I grew up and had a fully formed brain, and even I recognized the awfulness of it then, and even it taking a hard right shift in 2008-2009 when I quit.

Its gotten worse, its in many ways a product of its time wherein the internet was truly a wild west with few rules. Im not entirely sure what to think of its legacy if this does kill it, I don't think 4Chan was purely bad not by a long shot and ultimately those who used it will find other places to exist but I will gladly admit that that website has been responsible for some horrific shit.
