The other horses were being ridden in lessons and Sandy was following the verbal cues the students were giving the other horses.

She isn't gaining weight as fast as I'd like, but her mane is getting so thick and soft, so her supplements are doing something. If she doesn't start gaining weight soon, I will probably put her on an additional senior supplement.

I am in contact with her owner without anyone playing messenge for us now, so care and stuff will be much easier to coordinate. I found out Sandy is 26, not 30. I was also told that I can ride her any time as long as she's in the condition for it. She's not close to being in riding shape and never may be in riding shape, but that doesn't matter to me. I don't need to ride her. I just want her to be happy and healthy and have the best old age she can.

I don't even want to put a saddle on her at this point because of how skinny she is.

One of my fave things is seeing how she interacts with the world and people. I didn't expect her to know verbal riding cues. It was really cool to see.
