Carney went to UK for deal and came home empty. Is Trump also going to send Carney home empty or will Trump announce an agreement?
We have an intermediate trade deal with UK still in effect, Canada-UK TCA. There is about 2% of trade that we do with the UK that isn't covered. Trumps deal with the UK is kind of a bullshit deal. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c15ng4g5g0eo
Also we still have the CUSMA trade pact still which Trump signed and lauded as the best trade deal ever, but has since reneged on it. The agreement isn't supposed to be renegotiated until 2026.
