The most I've heard is "They aren't as bad as the sequels"
Funny, because I still say the sequels aren't as bad as the prequels.
I don't agree. I believe I can summarize the difference this way:
The prequels are bad. The sequels are stupid.
the prequels are also stupid.
Yeah, but that's a secondary attribute. The new ones are stupid front and center.
The prequels raped my childhood. The sequels killed it ... and then raped its corpse.
