Blue states. They're raiding blue states and ignoring red states.
Oh no, they're all over fucking Texas. At least in the cities. San Antonio just had a BUNCH of people arrested at the Courthouses last week. Its fucking infuriating.
You mean Houston, Dallas, Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio, the extremely large relatively blue cities?
Oh, of course. That's a given. But the original comment implied that the feds are only fucking with blue states and immigrants are fine in places like Georgia.
I was assuring that commenter that immigrants in Texas are indeed not okay. And where are they supposed to go? Run into the red counties surrounding the cities?
Fuck. This state has the opportunity to be someone's first glimpse of America, and it chooses to portray a shitty, hateful, dangerous view of it. Makes me fucking sick. I feel so goddamned stuck. Fortunately though, the cities have been protesting as well. There was an anti-ICE protest in SATX this past weekend, and theres another one scheduled for Saturday.
The idea is to target blue areas so they can put on a show of "doing something" about immigration while their base continues to see around the same number of brown people who don't speak English very well and so continues to believe that the "invasion" is ongoing and stronger action needs to be taken.
I'll say this though - since Trump started doing heavy ICE enforcement I've noticed a lot fewer truck drivers who need a translation app to handle basic English. Makes me wonder if ICE has got them afraid of having to deal with DOT.

CA and NYC seem to be top of the news and they clearly have the toughest gun laws. NYC may as well be in another country and CA is pretty ridiculous.
Are you suggesting they're afraid of gun owners firing on ICE to protect their undocumented neighbors? Or that the people they're detaining may defend themselves with force, even though undocumented immigrants can't purchase or possess firearms in red OR blue states?
They're afraid of agitating their voters and losing votes. Guns have nothing to do with it.
Ever notice the fascists don't show when guns are around? This whole site was screaming with joy, and I along with them, when armed people showed out to protect drag queens reading at libraries.
Someone firing on their foot soldiers is the best gift anyone could give a fascist would-be dictator.
ICE is raiding all over the country. Take a look at San Antonio, for example. The Trump Admin is loudest though about blue states, and you seem to be easily swayed by propaganda, so makes sense all you can hear is what Trump talks about
