Annoying overused words in Japanese game titles. For example. zero, Re:, code...

Also WTF with titles like Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 Remix

Honestly I prefer they give it some weird name that’s at least unique and searchable as opposed to just naming it the same thing again. Doom (2016), Tomb Raider (2013), Lords of the fallen (2023), God of War (2018)

If it’s a sequel in a franchise you are obligated to give it an incremental number or a dumb subtitle. Don’t go playing dumb like you aren’t milking the branding. So fucking annoying!

Yeah I've only played the original God of War (PS2) and Prince of Persia (DOS) games.

Yup Prince of Persia (2008) was a weird one. I like going back to the sands of time trilogy.

The original God of War is still one of the most metal games I’ve played! Just an absolute classic

I used to wonder about who came up with those weird names, but then I saw so many .HACK// games at the top of ROM directories or games called !!!!AAAA at the top of shareware lists that I just got numb to them, they're just the clear tape at the start of a cassette that is ignored until the sensible titles come along.

Which is a shame, because apparently the .hack manga is supposed to be decent.
