I use adblockers, but I'm confused how this would hurt google if people using adblockers stopped using youtube.

Less views = less relevancy of the platform. For live streams they have always played second fiddle. For short videos there is even more competition. Just wait for China to open up Billie Billie or instead make a separate version for the west.

I've never seen anyone irl use an adblocker. Not even the teachers use an adblocker.

I asked a teacher why not, and they're were like, "really, you can do that?".

Techers are supposed to educated... so you have highly educated people not using adblockers. Imagine the average person.

There is not gonna be significantly lower views. Most of my classmates when I was in highschool, use iPhones, never sideloaded before, use the official youtube app, so they either paid premium or just suffered ads.

(These are the same kids that obsess over their $1000 sneakers... and also made fun of me for beng poor... I'm like: 🤦‍♂️)
