MODERATORS

During a Tuesday hearing at the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the DOJ urged a three-judge panel to issue an emergency stay of a lower court order and allow the Trump administration’s deployment of the California National Guard to continue in Los Angeles — going so far as to argue a president’s federalization of militia can’t be second-guessed by the courts, even if the chief executive mobilized forces from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., simultaneously.

I think there has always been a lack of justice in the USA; we see this power struggle now because the powerful are fragmented.

Which is one reason why I think protests will become less no matter what; the track record is horrible . Most politically active people today don’t have the instincts or reactions needed.

It’s not all bad news, this will create a political vacuum where the left can start to gain

thank you for the response. I agree.

though I guess I'm not sure if left vs right is the best future state, as the rich seem to own both parties which they proceed to provide us the illusion of choice.

I would happily reply I do not see any leftists in congress ; I see a handful of left leaning moderates.

But yes, I believe most of congress are creatures of the complex webs of real power. Those few who are not, carefully observe the bounds they know they cannot cross.

And since I believe states without paper ballots, counted in front of witnesses and allowing recounts are not proper democracies. Who knows who would really win the primaries at the state and local levels? Much less the general elections.

There is no choice, none at all, on so many different ways and levels .

What makes it so much worse is that 95% of the politically active people are just fine with all the above
