Anyone else having issues with preloading on Steam? UPDATE: I'm dumb, Steam preload is on the 30th, not the 17th. (lemmy.world)

~~I purchased Starfield through Humble Bundle and made sure to get the deluxe edition with the early access key. It took them a bit to actually deliver the key to me (and I was only able to put it in yesterday) and I tried preloading and it didn't seem that I had that option on Steam? I'm not sure if I did something wrong or what, but I'll be a little annoyed if I have to wait until the day of to play, and even more upset if I can't play until after the preorder access is over.~~

Update: I am dumb and only Xbox could preload on the 17th, PC is the 30th. My mistake.

I believe you have to wait until Aug 30 on PC.

So I know that the game can't be played until the 30th, but the preload was supposed to go up on like, the 17th where I could download it and have it ready to go the moment it goes live.

My concern is that if I can't preload, will I even be able to play on the 30th when the preorder access is supposed to go live?

I probably should have worded my post a little bit better.

I think I understand your question, but if you're on PC you have to wait until Aug 30 to preload. Xbox can preload Aug 17. Premium edition can play Sep 1, regular edtion Sep 6.

Well poop. I guess I misunderstood when people were talking about preloading, I thought they were saying everyone could do August 17th.
