It's still not auto playing for me.. whhyyy.. is my webp format wrong? Why must you torture me embedding gods!?
It auto-plays in Firefox (on desktop and android) and Connect (on Android).
I think GIF is more widely supported that WEBP. You might try that?
Sometimes that's tricky though, because I've had lemmy auto-convert GIFs to WEBM
Uploading to lemmy is indeed less reliable than linking to an external source. I've given up uploading directly. I anyways use external sources.
Does this work (I converted to GIF from WEBP):
I loaded fine using voyager for iOS. Just a bit choppy the first play
