I still haven't figured how to escape an ampersand in Lemmy post titles (which regards '&' as a control character). So I chose as similar an alternative character as possible. \

A small ampersand (U+FE60 “Dungeons﹠Dragons”) and a fullwidth ampersand (U+FF06 “Dungeons&Dragons”) are available. But the Pfennig symbol is OK, too.

Other &-like symbols: ՁՖઇછઘଌଥୡ౭໕ខឧ᱒⃥⟅⨢よ꯴𐒒𐓯𖩒𝛂ͦ𝛼ͦ𝄞

I just don't know yet how to get Lemmy to display unspoiled & in post titles. As for other special characters, I copy them from the wep, from a character picker or from a mobile keyboard.

Definitely looking for alternatives.

My triforce skills are limited.

The best one seems to be fullwidth ampersand, it renders similarly to an ampersand with spaces around it. It does not become &: in Lemmy post titles.

Comparison:   »&«   » & «

It’s been in Unicode since 1993 so it’s very well supported.
