The problem with the Muppets version is the would try and make Miss Piggy the princess.
That or Gonzo as Wesley and a Chicken as Buttercup

Indeed. Kermit is clearly the ideal casting for Princess Buttercup.
I was leaning towards Janice but I see your point. Miss Piggy would make an excellent Wesley.
Who would you suggest? Cookie Monster?
