Tears of the Kingdom is exceptionally well-designed, offering mechanics that are so refreshing that they surpass even Breath of the Wild, a game known for its brilliance.

However, the performance limitations of the Nintendo Switch significantly hinder the experience, leading me to believe that the current state of the game upon launch is unacceptable.

Currently, there are no viable alternatives to playing the game other than on the Nintendo Switch, except for using an emulator, which performs poorly. It's puzzling why Nintendo hasn't considered developing a new console with backward compatibility to address these issues.

What is your take on this?

I get that, and it would be nice to get an updated switch. I don’t see how a simple frame rate issue is unacceptable though, personally I reserve that to actual game-breaking issues. A frame rate issue is disappointing but not a big deal to me. Are you actually refusing to play the game because of this? Otherwise it feels like you’re being hyperbolic. The game is still fantastic, even if it’s not worth $70. Part of the price is just brand recognition, it’s LoZ.
