Both are pastes made of mashed beans (peanuts and chickpeas are beans.) They also have a similar nutrient profile and are both used for similar dishes.

Idk man. I’d put peanut butter on a falafel pocket long before I’d have a hummus and jelly sandwich.

Except chocolate hummus. That shit is a totally different category though.
