Oneshot!!!
my favorite arsonist!
Niko is absolutely the best boy.
Or girl. Or neither. The gender of the child protagonist is undetermined, like in Undertale. My first instinct was that they are female, though – the “voice” is high-pitched and the closest name my language has to “Niko”, as well as the word for “cat”, are feminine.
Hey now, there are clearly no cats in Oneshot! Just pancake lovers that may or may not resemble a cat.
At least one of us hasn't played the game.
And Niko is officially a "cat person".
I enjoy Kelvin
Since you've apparently played the game, can you tell me if there are birds in the OneShot universe? Or do we just not know?
Is the non-plush penguin in-universe?
Damn there are literally cats?
The italics meant to illustrate some sarcasm, its meant to play off Niko's protests that they are not a cat. Given it comes up multiple times in the game, it seems like an obvious joke to make.
I know, I just wanted to take a jab. I’m a fan of the game but never played it.
I never said Niko was a cat, though.
Also, there are bird people and (presumably 🐧) birds.
You got me pretty good ;P
Same. Like most depictions of cat people are Japanese cat girls. And because the name is obviously inspired by the Japanese word Neko that on occasion is mispronounced Niko. On top of that Niko has overly long sleeves which is considered feminine in Japan. I came to the conclusion that Niko is female because she's Japan inspired and feminine at that.
