I appreciate the info, thank you! I joined up on lemmy.world mostly because it was the first one I had seen and seemed to be pretty populate, I didn't realize all the behind the scenes stuff. Does defederation work both ways? By that I mean, if beehaw were to block lemmy.world, does that mean lemmy.world automatically blocks beehaw back?

Yes that's the way it works. The connection is severed both ways if either end defederates.
