I'm completely over giving VA jobs to traditional actors.
I think Jack Black can be considered a voice actor and a traditional actor, he has done a lot of good work for both
That’s probably fair.
Give him one chance to rock your socks off.
Team him up with Mark Hamil!
There are very few voice actors who didn't come up through "traditional" acting.
Especially notable is Bojack which is considered the GOAT and to my knowledge doesn't feature anyone who hasn't done theatre, tv or film.
Mel Blanc did TV before he did cartoons
Dan Castellaneta did Second City and character comedy for years before the Simpsons
Tom Kenny was an actor for 10 years before SpongeBob
And so on
the only one I can think of that would meet this description is Seth MacFarlane.
Neat, I guess? That’s not really what’s being discussed here, though.
"Dont give VA jobs to traditional actors"
"Most successful VA actors are traditional actors, here's some notable examples"
"Not what's being discussed"
?!?!?!
Even Mark Hamill?
Mark hamil is a voice actor that moonlights as a movie actor.
