Is Dr. who (British one-piece) worth watching anymore? I fell off the watch wagon after Matt Smith departed

Tbh the Capaldi Era is way underrated. Sure there are more episode that kinda miss in my book, but man Capaldi knocks it out of the park as the doctor!

capaldi is so great! matt and clara are my doctors and companions since i started watching in 7b and was a whouffle but i LOVED the way clara and twelve were each others emotional support :')

also thirteen deserved so much fucking better than the writers she got

Capaldi COULD'VE been a great doctor, but he fell flat due to the showrunner's scripts and the BBC getting their hands too much into Dr Who.

The last i watched from DR Who what's Twice upon a time, and made up my mind Dr Who would never be as good again.

Depends on what you enjoy from Dr Who. The specials with Tennant's Fourteenth were great for campy silly fun. Capaldi's last season was great for character drama. Ncuti Gatwa has just started as 15 and I haven't watched his opening special yet but I enjoyed him in Fourteen's last episode. Very similar to his character on Sex Education

I dropped out during the early run with Matt Smith, despite wanting to continue because I thought Karen Gillan was a fox.

However, the writing changed in a way I wasn't so excited about and I dropped out.

I always meant to go back for Capaldi's run, I heard his Doctor was a blast of anarchic fun.

Definitely watch Capaldi. His Doctor is right up there with Tenant in my book.

Be advised though, if you continue watching, Jodie Whittaker's seasons are... different...

It's not Jodie. They changed writers and directors after Capaldi and I was not a fan.

I was absolutely put off by Capaldi and had high hopes for Jodie Whittaker but they did her so dirty I gave up quickly.

I loved Jodie's doctor, maybe because she's hot af, but i loved her seasons. Although her companions were 2d. I would of loved to see her and missy

Newest Doctor is seeming promising. Davis is back at the helm of the whole show.

I just recently watched every episode of the reboot. Yes, it's worth watching. I don't think it quite recaptures the feeling of the earlier seasons but it's enjoyable in its own right with a gem every now and then. Every single doctor has some great performances. I think the 15th doctor is going to see some seriously improved writing and storytelling compared to (most of) 11-13 too.
