For those not speaking in brand names, it's about zolpidem (sedative, used for insomnia) and modafinil (stimulant, used for narcolepsy and as a go-pill) both are controlled substances
Modafinil is just like a strong cup of coffee without any jitters. The only reason it's controlled is because people would abuse it to stay up longer. I was taking two a day when I was on lithium because lithium made me tired as hell, I was still so sleeping 9+ hours at night.
