Hello, very simple question. I am doing my first build and about to order my parts, but I was wondering if the 7800XT is worth the leap and possible long-term gains over the 6700XT? I wanted to know personal experience from normal people, rather than a bunch of tech youtubers. Also if you use Linux, that would be quite helpful.

6800 XT with be a better option than both.

Yeah, but the price difference is so negligible that I might as well go with the 7800XT at that point.

6000 series seems to have better support, and the 6800 XT beats the 7800 XT in some benches.

Mainly at 1080, where the 7800 is weirdly weak. In the long term the 7800 will be the better choice
