In any case, we're likely to see VRR support land in gnome later in the year. I'm personally glad they took the time to deliberate on the UX as well as underlying functionality.
@vikingtons @Sentau There is still a good chance that it will land in 46.
As an experimental feature? Neat. Would be fun to tinker with but I'm also happy to wait for the summer.
@vikingtons Yes, you would need to toggle a gsettings setting.
I was previously aware of this, though I thought the window for its inclusion into gnome 46 (even as an experimental setting) was rapidly meeting this deadline?
I don't think so. Usually features are not added after the beta release
