I totally believe we already have the best here now. That first round of adopters that are willing to make new communities and experiences are the best. There is something to be said about more (vocal) subject matter experts and niche communities, but what we have right now is a great balance.

If you surf around over there, the toxicity per thread is starting to rise like it did with the twitter exodus.

Yeah you might be right. Maybe it's just the nature of the internet, in that it's a magnet for disturbed people. Well, I hope lemmy ends up with a good % of sane people however big it gets, because I agree, it is a good time rn.
