It's needless negativity. It feels like an attempt to smother any possibility that there might be happiness elsewhere in the world. In short: it sucks keep it to yourself.
That's what it is to you. Thats a very strange over the top reaction as well. All people are saying, at least me, can't speak for the other guy is...while yes...things like this do happen (and have happened to me) this particular post is pretty poorly written and feels like typical tumblr reblog bait. Good things happen. That doesn't mean we cant look at a very poorly written 'good thing' story and say 'yeah that probably didn't happen'.
I'm sorry, but do you always go through life assuming the worst of people like this? This is the single most negative thing I have seen in this thread so far.
You're right, that was over the top. It was an exaggeration as a poor attempt to make my point, and I did that because I felt you were deliberately avoiding answering my initial question. I apologize for my ineptness in making my point.
(The point was it doesn't matter if this story is fake even if someone made it to farm internet clout.)
So all fake stories should just be treated as real no matter how obviously fake? But only if they are wholesome?
For example if I posted this would you be defending it with this much hostility? It's very wholesome after all.
Please don't put words in my mouth. And I'm sorry you mistook my snark for hostility, I didn't intend for my comments to be hostile although I see how you came to that conclusion.
I am not sure how I am putting words in your mouth. You say don't call out fake stories. Simple as that. So i am questioning how far we should go with that. Do you defend the picture I posted as well as something we must not question?
And I am sorry but nobody on earth could possibly interpret this as anything other then pure toxicity. You have apologized for your behavior and that's great, but don't backtrack and pretend it wasn't anything but pure negativity now.
This will be my last reply, because I have no interest in a keyboard fight.
If you don't accept my apology, that's your right, but don't pretend you know enough about me to say what the motivations behind what I say are.
I am not trying to fight, I have shown no anger or hostility. I am really just trying to wrap my mind around this 'never question fake stories on the internet' viewpoint. It's completely new to me and I honestly can't understand it.
