Currently, Cuba is facing a food shortage, which begs the question, how come Cuba can't grow all the food that it needs for its population? In which ways is the blockade preventing Cuba local food? (lemmygrad.ml)

In addition to what else has already been said, Cuba also has fuel/energy shortages and as a consequence have found it difficult to scale up industrialized farming.
