Example:

It's 6:00 AM and Walmart just opened. You park way out in the empty parking lot. You go in, buy your stuff and come out to find someone parked right next to you in a parking lot with hundreds of other empty spots they could have chosen.

It's the next day. You are in a different town. You go to Walmart at 6:00 AM and park way out in the lot and it happens again.

You tell your friend about this and hypothesize that this is a bug in The Simulation. Your friend says that it's just the Availability Bias and you're not remembering all the times when no one parked next to you.

How clever of The Simulation creators to have all these biases and logical fallacies at the ready to explain their buggy code!

If anything, it's more likely that our brains have the spaghetti code, than the reality/Simulation

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.
