Maybe read what he wrote first.
I did. Big fan of him. He’s anti genocide, that’s the problem Germany has with him and all the other critics.
Never again for Germany means never again genociding Jews. That’s the lesson they’ve learned. They did not draw any universal learnings from the atrocities their grandparents committed.
It’s insane how the country is backing Istael when they’re committing a genocide and how they go full fascist even against Jewish people speaking out against the genocide. And having the audacity to say they do that „to protect Jews“.
Germany is completely lost. The public will go out on the streets to protest against the AFD, but they’re literally backing up a genocidal ethno supremacist apartheid state. The only line that AFD seems to cross is that they’re also against leftist white Germans and that they’re antisemites. Brown people do not seem to fit into that equation.
Yanis Varoufakis is a performance actor who desperately tries to stay relevant by clumsily inserting himself into whatever is going on in the world. That's all there is to him. He's chasing the public spotlight like a dodgy personal injury lawyer is chasing ambulances.
I'm also starting to get really tired of this baseless genocide slander that is being repeated as if it was a religious mantra. The whole idea behind accusing Israel of it is twofold: It's meant to hurt Jews (who were victims of an actual genocide) and it's meant to distract from the genocidal ambitions of Israel's enemies.
I'm sorry did you just try to apply the roman expanding defense to what does and doesn't define a genocide?
I'm sure all those Gauls Caesar tried this logic on will come to agree with you any second now!
Yeah that comment is full of shit. 30000+ dead Gazans, aid convoys being destroyed, Gaza in a state of famine, but let's talk about the genocide that we think Israel's enemies might want to carry out, as opposed to what Israel has already started doing.
Yeah, what 'did' he write to get this reaction? Was it just asking for human rights for Palestinians?
Among other things, he wrote that Jews weren't forced out of their homes by force. Imagine writing this after October 7.
