I think you mean commodification, the process of turning stuff into commodities, commodities being stuff made with the intention of being sold.

Art, knowledge and software come to mind.

But ultimately, every industry will be worsened by the monopolist stage of capitalism even if many industries were indeed improved by the early capitalist stage.

That’s a good point so I referring to the commodities that appeal to multiple demographics and aren’t seen as inherently political like a video game other media and technology and infrastructure etc.
