Time for an ICQ for the Fediverse?

Looks like ICQ is finally shutting down, just as interest in retro internet tools is growing.

XMPP and Matrix are already there. A large tree grows from a green platform labeled “ActivityPub + more”. ActivityPub is a protocol for communicating between different applications in the Fediverse. The trunk of the tree is labeled The Fediverse, to indicate that all the applications within the tree crown are part of the The Fediverse. Image source

Actually... a bridge between XMPP, Matrix and Fedi-based private messages would be interesting.

For XMPP and ActivityPub it already exists as part of the Libervia project.

It would be great to be able any of these clients with any of these servers and that all users could talk to each other
