State voter records show that Crooks was a registered Republican, according to US media.

He is also reported to have donated $15 to liberal campaign group ActBlue in 2021.

Thank god he's not a leftist. They can threaten to put Blue MAGA people in prison for all I care. If he was an ML or Anarchist, comrades would be shot.

Well, yeah, but perhaps that implies they don't know who the actual communists are, so they will still target the "commie" demonrats
