Switching language on gboard doesn't work (hexbear.net)

Anyone else have the issue when using jerboa that when they try to change input language (by holding the space button) the selection menu just flashes up and then disappears?

Somewhat annoying.

AnySoftKeyboard is a great alternative

Says it can't be installed on newer versions of Android, on that link. Does it have its own repo with new versions in?

looks like the fDroid version is the latest https://github.com/AnySoftKeyboard/AnySoftKeyboard/releases

from their mastodon

All available language packs were released to production last week, and it seems we do not see any issues. This is version 5.0.28.

This release includes support for Android 13+ and various Play Store guidelines.
