If someone's post is deleted, and the modlogs don't specify who performed the action (instead it is a generic name like "admin"), how can the user discuss that deletion if they have a rationale for why it should not have been deleted?

You just have to take it up with the mod team. Since it says mod then reach out to a mod of the comm in question or if admin contact an admin.

Mods are anonymous in the log for a reason.

The log says "admin", not "mod", so I don't know what to do now. Does Lemmy even have modmail?
