Well that's sad. Clearly, the homemade dog is the one that was made with love. But that's just my personal commentary.

He had a choice between a dog that seemed happy and asked for nothing and a dog that immediately asked for love and praise.

That is what I'm seeing.

Well, why wouldn't the dog ask for love? It would have to spend its entire life with that guy, ensuring you'd be loved is an essential requirement for such a commitment.

Ok I'll bite.

One of the best things about dogs is the unconditional love. Look up any list on things people like about them and it's there.

Maybe! Or maybe this whole new concept of dogness actually is something that needs rational consideration. Given no forthright consideration at all, it could be rejected at face value in every possible scenario! It is not at all unreasonable for the Homemade Dog to point out that additional time should be spent to consider their merits.

And that their rejection is still a sad fact, because they were a homemade dog and as such they were made with love. Nothing really changes that fact.
