Following the passage of a law restricting coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, the newspaper moved its main editors to Amsterdam.

Not many people know this, so I wanted to spread the word:

Moscow times is not based in Moscow

Many people get this confused, but it’s important to note that Moscow Times is run from outside of Russia, and is not, in fact, controlled or meaningfully influenced by the Russian government.
