I’ll give you a quick ELI5, Iran will run roughshot over the middle east if there isn’t someone there to keep them inline. Israel is that someone.

Israel has nuclear weapons and can defend themselves just fine with the conventional weapons they already possess. They do not need our assistance in committing genocide.

I'll repeat the question you completely ignored in favor condescension and flimsy excuses for genocide:

How does that exempt us from the Leahy Law?

How does that exempt us from the Leahy Law?

Us? Who is us?

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

The United States government in this case, as they are bound by the law.

[-] InternetUser2012@lemmy.today -1 points 1 month ago

What? That's a lot of words for "us". I'll ask you again since you like to dodge questions, what's your angle?

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I don't want the United States to ignore the Leahy Law in order to sell weapons that Netanyahu will use to commit genocide.

[-] InternetUser2012@lemmy.today 4 points 1 month ago

I don't want Israel to commit genocide.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world -1 points 1 month ago

Well, they're currently doing just that. They will continue to do so as long as we keep selling them weapons.

So the blame is on the US and not Israel?

Do you blame gun manufactures for school shootings?

It's so weird all you "guys" bash and bash the US for supplying weapons, (which anyone with half a brain knows we have to) but none of you seem upset with Israel, you know, the ones actually doing the genocide. The US is trying to negotiate a peace treaty while the REST OF THE WORLD does nothing, and you blame the US. Seems ridiculous to anyone not trying to push a narrative.

And with that I'm done with you, you have nothing to add but your bullshit. GL with whatever campaign you're on, this isn't reddit, people here can see through it. No need to answer one of the two questions I gave you with some generic bullshit response, I've heard it before, save your bandwidth.

So the blame is on the US and not Israel?

Because it's within our power to cease weapons sales and we don't.

which anyone with half a brain knows we have to

The Leahy law says otherwise. But when I brought it up last time, you decided to pretend that you didn't know who I meant by "us."

[-] InternetUser2012@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

Because it’s within our power to cease weapons sales and we don’t.

Hold up, who is we? You're not in the US. You made that clear in your other posts. ROFL.

You missed the question or selectively ignored it, I'll ask again.

Do you blame gun manufacturers for school shootings?

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago

Considering all the lobbying they do to make sure that our gun laws remain conducive to school shootings, yes. They are in large part responsible for school shootings.
