The morning after his first presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump turned to friendly territory by calling into Fox & Friends. But co-host Steve Doocy still had a question for Trump that he probably wouldn’t like: Did he hear about Taylor Swift endorsing Harris?

Almost immediately following the end of the debate on Tuesday, Swift posted her endorsement of Harris on Instagram, imploring her followers to do their own research and vote; she endorsed President Joe Biden in 2020. She also cited the faked AI images of her that she was supporting Trump, which Trump and his campaign shared.

You’re right she won’t but more importantly this may actually cause a lot of kids to confront the “me vs parents” view they have lived with. (Edit - “me vs parents” = my views vs what my parents say and think)

My dad always says “this” about democrats and how republicans are right because of “that”.

This will hopefully cause people to think of Swift is endorsing her then I should look into why. There are plenty of people who don’t pay attention to politics not because they are intentionally absent from it, but because it’s just not in the realm of consciousness. This may change that.

A long winded way to say, "Hopefully, this gets people off their ass and to begin to give a shit about our collective future."

But I agree. I hope this causes politically-disengaged people to reckon with (frankly) what amounts to their willful ignorance, at this point.

That’s an incredibly good point. And I appreciate you not calling me, specifically “long-winded” even though I absolutely am. :)
