Honestly, edge isn't that bad. I'd prefer it over chrome. But nothing beats firefox.

I don't like how it defaults to bing. I once wanted to install 7zip on a friend's computer that only had Edge installed. The first result was some website filled with ads, guessed that that was the internet without adblock nowadays... That website made me click the wrong download button. Cancelled the download, found the correct download. The installer i downloaded was modified and tried to install a bunch of other crap before opening the actual installer... If I was on Chrome with Google I would at least have found 7zip.com as the first result and not have to deal with all that crap.

Open PowerShell and run:

winget install 7zip.7zip

Winget is built into windows after around Win10 1903, so you don't even have to launch a browser to download most apps anymore.

ok but what I'm saying is a good browser should use a good search engine by default
