Honestly I doubt this ghoul would ever have been a true comrade. Imagine being "loyal" to the most warlike, genocidal, imperialist nation on earth which is the scourge of indigenous peoples, leftism, and actual democracy worldwide. Not even just "patriotic" (though there's no justification for that, for the US of all places in particular, either) but "loyal."

Someone from a local Maoist org proudly told me they were ordering American-made org shirts, the implication being that they therefore were not supporting China or using Bangladeshi labor.
The minds of Americans are a thing to behold.
I would have told him there is a very high chance that those shirts would have been made by underpaid immigrants, if not literally 'illegal' migrants.
Or thing they do where stuff is made elsewhere and the label is made in the US, then the label is put on the label of the thing. So it becomes "Made in the USA (which was made in China)."
Bet they were done by slave labor in an American Prison (TM).
Yeah if I was going to argue I'd say things like that. I'm trying to get an overall vive check on that org to see if they would be good in a coalition.
