Alt text: POV you are sitting on a sofa, left half of a split ergomech keyboard resting against the left leg under an angle (tented) while a black cat provides wrist support

Don't have a black cat, would you consider a mostly black dog to be a good alternative?

Definitely! Actually their stability can be much better than a cat's (cats tend to shuffle around whenever they like)

Nice, I was using my split quefrency and a elecom handheld trackball mouse for a while while couch gaming

Instructions unclear, my wrist rest has chosen my lap as the optional loaf position. The laptop is now off to the side so as not to disturb him...

Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid
