Locked Posts (keeb.lol)

I'm not going to delete any of the posts relating to the past days drama, but they are locked and any future posts about it will be removed.

[-] hazel@keeb.lol 1 points 11 months ago

So, you're saying I should be temp banning you as well?

[-] hazel@keeb.lol 1 points 11 months ago

Is making a post asking if there are moderators "on topic"?

[-] hazel@keeb.lol 2 points 11 months ago

The submissions they made were on topic, just maybe a topic you didn't want to discuss. I absolutely think this person misunderstood the intentions of the community and got defensive, but the community also dogpiled on this person. If maintaining a healthy community is the goal, we should accept responsibility for being a part of the problem.

I'm not against locking all the posts related to this issue, but I'm not gonna ban the person. I'm not gonna fight any of the other mods if they have different opinions.

I wasn't trying to correct you at all, just acknowledging that the counter isn't representative of everything.

[-] hazel@keeb.lol 1 points 11 months ago

Things didn't get this far from the actions of a single person, so if punishment is expected to be passed out then I don't think it's fair to punish only one person. Should the people submitting things to make fun of this person also have their posts locked and given a temp ban?

[-] hazel@keeb.lol 5 points 11 months ago

An active counter doesn't mean things aren't being seen. I've been here and seen everything unfold.

This person isn't acting alone. They've submitted stuff that is on topic and everyone else engaged. I'm not sure what action is expected of the mods.

The Eternal Keypad has a left handed configuration.

Since you're going hotswap, you've already got about 3mm of space on the back of the PCB. if you make your case just a tad taller, your battery could fit under the PCB.

[-] hazel@keeb.lol 4 points 1 year ago

unfortunately, using a Xiao makes this approach less than ideal. The Xiao's battery connector is a pad on the back, reducing the amount of space a battery can fit.

GrabCAD is where I usually start my hunt.

I've posted a couple times about Cut Slope, but one last post to announce that I've released the source code today.

I've got a couple of the prototypes left if you're interested in getting one without getting a whole order fabbed.

Technically not an ergo board, but in it's current setup I'm using it as a one handed gamepad. That makes it ergo, right?

After a year off from gaming, I've been itching to play. While designing some sort of gamepad, I realized I had basically already designed what I was wanting - Chaz.

After tossing ZMK and an adjusted keymap on it, I think it'll work well enough while I think about what I really want in a gamepad. If, for some godawful reason, you want one of these - I've got a few kits up on my site or if you think you want five of this abomination, it's Open Source.

Hardware wise, Cut Slope is fully functional. Screen works, just need to figure out what I want to put on it.

Still working on a full case, but printed a quick tray for peace of mind while using it.

Just got my first embedded design in and it works!

Embedded RP2040. ortho-ish layout with dropped and splayed pinkies, thumb fan, GMT-020 display (🤞).

Now to figure out Quantum Painter and build a case.
