There goes my productivity for a day!

A few months ago a pair of JWs were making the rounds of where I live. I talked with them, and they gave me a mobile number. I texted it, and was left on read.

A few weeks ago a Mormon approached me. We talked for a bit and they asked if they could have my number. I gave them my number. Still haven't heard back.

I'm too powerful.

I got got by one video uploaded and published late on Monday night (so clearly it doesn't count) and I think that steeled me for the next 24 hours. How did you fare?

Received this dreaded email after ordering something the other day.

Combined Cadet Force

I still have a hard time explaining this to people who don't know what it is.

Essentially, kids are "voluntarily" put into this thing after school where they dress up in uniforms and berets and forced to do marching drills.

You then pick whether you want to do Army/Navy/RAF, and you get to do some shooting drills. Guns are brought into the school (without ammo) and kids are shown how to shoot.

Every year each group goes on a summer camp type excursion where they get to fire real weapons or fly gliders or something.

And that's it.

Learning to drive late in life. I'm good with awareness, changing gears, interactions, roundabouts, spatial awareness, yadda yadda - a lifetime of cyclist awareness.

I just can't brake softly to save my life. It feels like I put the pedal half down, and nothing happens to the speed and then I do an inch more and suddenly the whole car locks up.

Is this normal? I just have to get used to finding a gentle breaking point somehow?

If a federated community like this already exists, please point me to it. I'd rather not divide the effort any more than necessary.

I think it is clear to anyone in the UK. The disabled community is now under attack.

This community is an attempt to help pull people together and consider ideas for support and to enhance our voice.

I like many others in our community over the last 14 years. Have enough mental health issues. That I'd be grateful for other mod volunteers who will share the time managing the group. In the hope, we can keep the workload of off to few people.
