For those wondering, the cities are:

  • Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Memphis, Tennessee
  • Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • Miami, Florida
  • Lexington, Kentucky

Also, the key insights are worth knowing:

  • Albuquerque, New Mexico, has the highest annual rate of pedestrian deaths, at 9.24 fatalities per 100,000 people.
  • The safest city for pedestrians is Lincoln, Nebraska. It’s also the sole city on our list with only one pedestrian fatality in 2023.
  • Stockton, California, is especially deadly for cyclists, with more than two fatalities per year per 100,000 residents.
  • Arizona has three cities that appear in the top 10 most deadly places for both pedestrians and cyclists.
  • Twenty cities reported zero cyclist fatalities in 2023.

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.
