Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

The funniest part is I don't think of myself as femboy or trans but ads seem to think I am (and increasingly so). They also think I am a furry and they are spot on lmao... Really makes me wonder if I am living in denial ngl

AFAT: Assigned Female at Temu

[–] Draconic_NEO@pawb.social 7 points 3 days ago

One doesn't need to be female in any capacity to wear comfy cute clothes.

I'm sorry fam, if this worked I'm afraid your fall was inevitable

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

They say the higher you climb the harder you fall. So if I don't climb at all I can save energy and hurt myself less >.<

Jokes aside I personally just do not care about MY OWN gender / sex but I do support free choice of both because it should up to oneself and oneself alone. So I usually just stick to the factory standard (except if I want to trigger some ultra conservatives) but you can refer to me however you want as long as I know I am being referred to. :3

It knows you've been researching Linux distros.

I'm using Nyarch of course :3

[–] ICastFist@programming.dev 31 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They also think I am a furry and they are spot on

From furry to femboy is like getting out of bed and going to the bathroom

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

sleepdrunk me: "Just five more minutes"

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 29 points 3 days ago (2 children)

That is the incorrect tail mounting mechanism and you know it

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

Ehehehe (>\\\<) (*extreme blushing)

My friend, you tried your hardest to deny your truth, and your subconscious still leaked through :D

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 34 points 3 days ago

I mean, my mom DID want a daughter and got two sons instead... My brother already became a twink now it's my time to shine.

Frfr.

Me getting ads for feminine clothes on YouTube:

Principal Skinner "Am I out of touch?" meme, but the punchline is him saying: "No, it's the algorithm that's wrong."

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago

My YT ads are this way to horny ai comic garbage that I suppose is directed towards 12 year olds. (Instagram is a lot closer to the truth)

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I got ads for increasing the amount of time before I nut.

I have delayed ejaculation problems.

Also, I randomly got some industrial substance/machinery ad and went "yes, this ad is perfect for me". Now it reccomends random industrial goods, and I don't think I'll need to buy any roofing for a warehouse anytime soon, so they can suck it.

Stop wearing this stuff. It's too sexy and I can't stand it.

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago
[–] djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Okay but have you considered how cute you would look dressed in those kindsa outfits?

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

But what if they are too cute for me? :(

[–] djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Nonsense, clothes can't be too cute for you, they're clothes and lack the ability to determine any worthiness of a given wearer. The only thing you have to fear is looking so cute that other people try to give you compliments and talk to you.

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

I have been exposed o.o

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You forgot the don't, or more likely your subconscious didn't.

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'm afraid so lmao. I mean I wouldn't care about wearing a skirt as long as it suits me.

[–] Draconic_NEO@pawb.social 4 points 3 days ago

Skirts are awesome, I definitely recommend trying them out. I find it funny that they are considered only for women because anyone can look awesome in them.

[–] Mora@pawb.social 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

2 years ago I made a joke about this to my boyfriend as well (though it was Aliexpress who send me a mail after buying some tech stuff). This year I discovered I really like comfy socks ... and I may have ordered a skirt as well. Not worn it yet, but it is here. Slowly & steady 😂

The algorithms know you better than you know you.

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (3 children)

I mean, my for you page looks like this:

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_Turkey

Aydın (enlightened) is acceptable, Batman is not

For shame.

Lol, I especially like the nails :3

[–] Draconic_NEO@pawb.social 3 points 3 days ago

I agree, they are very cute. I probably wouldn't do it myself though since I'd be worried about them getting damaged.

Bro is being gaslighted by Instagram ads lmao

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago
[–] Draconic_NEO@pawb.social 6 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Nothing wrong with wearing these kinds of outfits, they are very comfortable and also adorable. I say why not try it out, you might end up liking them and it's not like it'll hurt anything.

I wouldn't recommend getting them from Temu though, in my experience from buying from Temu quality can be very hit or miss. Especially when it comes to things like clothing. Sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you get crappy stuff that's thin and falls apart very easily. I recommend higher quality brands for clothing like that, but Temu can be okay if all you want to do is try it out to see how the look suits you.

[–] Doge@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Yeah, I don't buy from sites like Temu for quality reasons I just found the ad hilarious and scrolled through the other offers.

On a site note I'll crosspost it tomorrow (set myself a reminder) because I'll be going to bed now and I don't post before sleeping because I cannot quickly react to comments. :3

[–] fracture@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

curious what y'alls sources are for good quality femboy gear

[–] Draconic_NEO@pawb.social 2 points 3 days ago

I get my thigh highs from Sockdreams (I got a few cable-knit ones from Amazon), skirts I've gotten from Amazon, a few from Etsy, and some from thrift stores. Oversized hoodies I've just gotten on Ebay.

[–] socsa@piefed.social 4 points 3 days ago

Clip on tail? Why even bother.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I want the set on the left.

[–] Draconic_NEO@pawb.social 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I recommend getting both since the one on the left is just thigh highs and accessories, and the one on the right is just a dress and bows. Best to get both and combine them together into one outfit.

I recommend not buying from temu and instead buying fabric and seizing the means of femboyification
