I'm currently using Jerboa but it's a little janky so I'm looking for recommendations

Edit: I think I'm gonna be using Eternity for Lemmy. Thanks for the suggestions!

Boost is best no doubt.

But for low end phones (like mine), Jerboa is a good alternative.

Does Boost for Lemmy need more resources than Boost for Reddit of something? BfR ran better than the home screen on my 15 year old tablet.

Haven't done a direct comparison, but i would say it runs the same.

But like i said i run Jerboa since it's lighter on design and it's better optimized (uses Android 8.0 SDK instead of Boost's Android 5.0 SDK)

I tried all of them but kept coming back to voyager...until boost came out. It's now my favorite, with voyager at #2 now.

Liftoff.

Was a Boost user and was excited for it to come out for Lemmy, but the post creation process doesn't look to do all what I want it to do, so I'm still using Liftoff.

If I was just lurking, I'd be using Boost because it looks great, but Liftoff gives me a similar browsing experience with better posting.

Summit. It feels the most like RiF.

Check out Photon! It works on desktop and on mobile (as a PWA) and it's great! The dev is super active too!

Thunder has been slightly less janky for me.

For now I kinda got stuck with boost. But I still have all the other major clients to try out from time to time.

Can anyone compare Sync to Eternity? What are the pro/cons?

[โ€“] Dr_Cog@mander.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

Sync has a monthly fee to get rid of ads, Eternity is always ad-free

I have Memmy in iOS and it's great. The only thing I could wish is that I could either share memes or download them

Voyager is simply amazing (see !voyagerapp@lemmy.world)

[โ€“] ptz@dubvee.org 1 points 1 year ago

Tesseract as a PWA. Photon as a PWA before that.

Until a couple of days yi would have said Liftoff but I must admit Boost seems slightly better, the pro version, the free version with ads is awful, but at only 3.50 euros that's not expensive and worth the money
